The Whitewright Sun Friday, January 26, 1912 pg. 2 DiCK VIVIAN DEAD Stricken With Apoplexy at His Home in Jameson Sherman, Tex., January 23 - News was received in Sherman early this morning of the death of Dick Vivian, which occurred at his home in Jameson, about sixteen miles southwest of Sherman, at 11 o'clock last night. Mr. Vivian died suddenly from an attack of apoplexy. He was in Sherman Saturday, and his friends here were very much shocked to hear of his death. It is stated that he was a well as usual all day yesterday and had been to Van Alstyne. He returned home in the afternoon, and took sick about 9 o'clock, and died shortly after 11 o'clock. Mr. Vivian was a native of Missouri, and came to Texas, locating on his farm where he died, in 1863. He was sixty-nine years old at the time of his death and is survived by the following children: Joen Vivian of Van Alstyne; Bonie Vivian of San Angelo; Mrs. Claude Easterly of Sherman; Mrs. Minnie Crawford of Sherman; Luther Vivian of Howe; Joe Vivian of Whitemound; Miss Pearl Vivian of Jameson; and Lee Vivian of Dallas.
