 
  Solon Leon Pelt 20 November 1917 - 12 August 2007 Corporal US Army Air Forces WWII  Doris Harrison Pelt, born August 24, 1925, in Gunter, Texas left this world Thursday, December 19, 2019 in Paris, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Alma Harrison; brothers, H.D., Billy and Tom; sisters, Mary and Rita; and husband, Leon. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a housewife for the majority of her life. She worked in the insurance industry and for the City of Frisco as a school crossing guard. She loved sports, espeically the Texas Rangers. She was a member of the Valley Church of Christ in Gunter, Texas. She is survived by her 4 sons, Phillip and wife, Sarah, of McKinney, Texas; Gerald and wife, Norma, of Arthur City, Texas; Craig and wife, Deborah, of Collinsville, Texas; and Scott of Arthur City, Texas; grandchildren, Cynthia and Rudy Weems of Dorchester; Bryan and Andrea Pelt of Frisco; Kala Svevo of McKinney; Aaron and Renee Pelt of Orange; John Biggerstaff of Celina; Rae and Randy Koonce of Tioga; Kristi and Josh Johnston of Van; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Clyde Harrison of Fruitvale; Charlie Harrison of Gunter; Bob Harrison of Gunter; one sister, Lula Morris of Sherman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Thursday morning, December 26, 2019 at Whitaker Cemetery in Gunter under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home. Alan Monk and Marlon Cole officiated. Pallbearers were John Biggerstaff, Bryan Pelt, Aaron Pelt, Justin Roberts, Gage Biggerstaff, Brandon Svevo, and Cobi Koonce.
