 Billy D. Harrison 1927 - 1989 PFC US Army WWII  Gunter, Texas - Helen Louise Harrison, a long-time resident of Gunter, died Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Meadowbrook Care Center in Van Alstyne. She was born May 30, 1934 in Dorchester, Texas. Helen was an aide at Hilltop Haven Nursing Home in Gunter for 30 plus years where she worked until her retirement in 2012. She loved bird watching, crocheting, dominoes, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her sisters, Bobby Anderson of Bells and Bernice Vincent of Dorchester; brother, Gary Wilson and his wife, Joyce, of Pilot Point; granddaughters, Terra Armstrong and Charlotte Scott and husband, Justin; great-grandsons, Wyatt and Colt Scott; and son-in-law, Terry Cooper; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial gifts may be made to Scoggins Funeral Home, 637 W. Van Alstyne Pkwy, Van Alstyne, Texas 75495. The funeral was held at 11 a.m. on March 24, 2018 at Whitaker Cemetery in Gunter.
