Sherman, Texas - God relieved our sister, Connie Stanley, of her physical disabilities and granted her angel wings on May 5, 2021. She was born the eldest of 8 children on November 5, 1955 to Bob Stanley and Shirley Richardson. Connie grew up in Sherman. She attended St. Mary's and then entered the Sherman public school system, graduating from Sherman High School. She fell in love and married Robert Allen in 1973. Together, they share a son, Billy Wheaton. After 30 years as a nurse's aide, Connie retired. During those years she shared her humor, skill and compassion with many. Her main goal was to make her patients happy. She began her church family by spending 55 years as a member of St. Mary's; however, she found her forever church home at Friendship Methodist Church. During this time, she took her role as the oldest seriously, feeling it was her duty to see us through life's challenges. Connie will be remembered most for her unique sense of humor and her unconditional love of family. However, she will be most respected for her determination and perseverance of overcoming physical disabilities. Connie was an example set for all physically disabled individuals. Connie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sam and Edna Sanchez, A.L. Stanley, Coy Lea Farris, Bill and Anna Moellers; father, Bob Stanley; step-mother, Dolores Stanley; and brother, Johnny Stanley.
