  Jason Wade Adams 3 May 1973 - 16 July 1999  On July 16, 1999 the life of Jason Wade Adams, 26, was taken from those who loved him. Memorial services were held Friday evening, July 23, 1999 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Denison, Texas. Jason was born on his sister Jana's 4th brithday, May 3, 1973, in Alva, Oklahoma, son of Martha Maurine Allen and Gary Alan Adams. On June 4, 1997 Jason married Heather Jannet Wallace in Denison, Texas. Jason graduated from Alva High School and attended Grayson County College. Jason was the owner/operator of the Sonic Drive-In in Warren, Arkansas for the year preceding his death. Prior to that Jason was a surgical scrub tech in the O.R. at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Jason is survived by his wife, Heather, and 2 daughters, McKenzie Leigh Wallace and Sierrah Lynn Adams; parents, Martha and Tim "Cowboy" Washburn of Denison, Texas; and Gary and Karen Adams of Alva, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Jana Birenbaum and husband, Marc, of Dallas, Texas, and and Alana Adams of Alva, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, John Adams and wife, Janet, of Lamar, Colorado; and Jeff Adams and wife, Amanda, of Havelock, North Carolina; grandparents, Myrtle and Dillard Allen and Ellen Adams, all of Altus, Oklahoma; 2 nephews, Zachary Birenbaum of Dallas and William Adams of Lamar, Colorado; 4 aunts, 6 uncles and 23 cousins. The surgical services department staff of Texoma Medical Center led by his best friend, Rick Brashier, cousin, Chris Jones, and friends, Chris Robinson and Sam Gilbert served as honorary pallbearers. The Nursing Staff of Texoma Medical Center hosted visitation for the family in the church reception hall following the memorial service. Jason was filled with a unque charisma that everyone loved. All who knew him not only cared for him deeply, but were blessed and enlightened for having him in their lives. Jason worked hard and played hard, never being afraid "to take the bull by the horns."   Jeffrey Alan Adams 5 August 1977 - 4 June 2011 s/o Martha Maurine Washburn brother of Jana, John & Jason Daddy of Kaleb, Shaiann, Hunter   Jeffrey Alan Adams, 33, entered into eternal life Saturday, June 4, 2011 at his home. Jeff was born August 5, 1977 in Enid, Oklahoma. He graduated from Alva High School in 1995 and attended Grayson County College. Jeff proudly served his country in the United States Marines as a landing Support Specialist and was decorated with the Sea Service Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Expert Rifle badge. Jeff was elected also Marine of the Month during his military career. He was on the varsity football team all 4 years in high school. He was also active in Vo-Tech and the Agriculture programs at Alva High School. Jeff enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time outdoors. Jeff was an avid supporter of the Denison Little League. Jeff loved life, his family and friends and never met a stranger. He attended St. Patrick Church and sought goodness and religious understanding for himself and his children. Jeff was employed by Volt Services and had spent the past year at Texas Instruments. Jeff is survived by his 3 children, Kaleb Wade, Shaiann Maurine and Hunter Michael; and their mother, Amanda Dodd Clark. He adored his children; they were the joy of his life. Also surviving are his mother, Martha Maurine Allen Washburn; one sister, Jana Michelle Birenbaum and husband, Marc, and their children, Zachary and Megan of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, John Gary Adams and wife, Janet and their children, William, Samuel and Jasan of Lamar, Colorado; grandmother, Myrtle Allen "Nanny" of Denison; several aunts and uncles; and numerous cousins. Jeff had a host of friends spanning the world; he grew up with a group of youn men here in Denison, Texas that became more like brothers to him than just friends: Chris Jones, Chris Robinson, Todd Fox, Rick Browder, Kevin Keith and Steve Wigington. Sarah Dollery was Jeff's best friend and soul mate. She loved Jeff and his children as much as any person possibly could. Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Wade Adams; step-father "Dad", Timothy Wayne "Cowboy" Washburn; and grandfather, Dillard Allen. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, June 14, 2011 at Fisher Funeral Chapel with military honors. Elmer Robinson officiated with eulogies delivered by Chris Robinson and Chris Jones. Jeff was cremated for a United States Military Burial at Sea according to his wishes. Jeff's wishes for a Burial at Sea was completed on October 22, 2017. The ceremony took place on the deck of the USS Normandy (CG 60) at 1300 hours in the afternoon. Conforming to Naval tradition the ship was stopped with colors displayed at half mast, and the participating officers and crew were paraded in full dress uniform. The afternoon was warm with moderate winds and seas. Under these favorable conditions, at Latitude 27 degrees North and Longitude 77 degrees West, Jeff's ashes were committed to the deep. The religious and military aspects of the ceremony were conducted with dignity and solemnity. Captain D.A. Trinque was the military Commander for the Ceremony. Chaplain LT Mike Wise presided over the religious ceremony and the commital. The rifle squad, urn bearer, color guard and honor guard were formed from the crew of the Normandy.
