MORTUARY
Mrs. Maud [sic] Thompson Spencer, wife of Grover Spencer, died Friday morning at 7:15 o'clock in a Sherman hospital.  She was removed from her home in Denison to the hospital two days before her death.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Short-Murray chapel in Denison with Dr. Robert L. Cowan of McKinney officiating.  The burial service was held at the City Cemetery in Whitewright, where her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Thompson, are buried.
Mrs. Spencer was born in Whitewright on March 25, 1890 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.F. Thompson.  She received her schooling in Whitewright public schools and at Grayson College.
The deceased was married to Grover Spencer in 1909.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband; a son, Edwin Spencer of Denison; a daughter, Mrs. James Cowan of Tyler; and three brother, Clyde Thompson of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Claude Thompson of Whitewright; and Clarence Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri.

Funeral services were held at Denison Saturday for Grover Spencer, 72, who died Thursday at Wichita Falls. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
Born in Denison April 12, 1886, Mr. Spencer married Miss Maud Thompson of Whitewright December 27, 1909.  For many years he was a field representative of Remington Arms Company.  He was a professional trap shooter, a state champion, and was a member of the 1925 Olympic Trap-shooting team.
Survivors are a son, Edwin Spencer of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Burris Hughes of Wichita Falls; and 2 grandchildren.  He was a brother-in-law of Claude Thompson of Whitewright.
