Thursday, August 4, 1938 pg. 4 O.M. Julien, 63, of Howe was buried in the City Cemetery here Sunday afternoon following funeral services held at the Baptist Church at Howe. Officiating ministers were Rev. J.R. Hilger of Greenville, Rev. Woodrow Adcock of Howe, and Rev. A.M. Julien of Oklahoma, brother of the deceased. He died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at his home. Mr. Julien was born at Cookeville, Tennessee and moved to Texas at the age of nine, his family settling at Orangeville. He was married to Miss Marie Holcomb November 17, 1895 and seven children were born to them, three of whom survive. The family moved to Howe in 1919. Surviving are his wife; two sons, John and Goebel Julien; one daughter, Miss Marguerite Julien, and six grandchildren, all of Howe; one brother, Rev. A.M. Julien and seven sisters, Mrs. W.T. Ross of Sulphur Springs, former Whitewright resident; Mrs. Ollie Saye of Ector, Mrs. E.H. Frasier of Fort Worth; Mrs. J.L. Slover of Sulphur, Oklahoma; Mrs. W.J. McGowan of Paducah; Mrs. W.D. Badgett of Van Buren; and Mrs. H.L. Allen of Ector. Bonham Daily Favorite Monday, September 24, 1973 pg. 2 JULIEN RITES HELD MONDAY Leonard - Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Taylor Funeral home chapel for John J. Julien, 70, whose death occurred Friday afternoon in a Leonard nursing home. Officiating at the services was Rev. Curtis Smithson and burial was in the City Cemtery at Whitewright. Mr. Leonard was born March 30, 1903 near Leonard. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. O.M. Julien. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons: John K. Julien of Howe, Joseph W. Julien of Fort Worth and Billy G. Julien of San Jose, California, and three grandchildren.
