Earnest E. Wortham 29 December 1925 - 24 April 1989 Ella McCuller Wortham 24 November 1936 - 11 September 2021 wed 6 March 1953 Ella Lodainer Wortham, a lofe-long resident of Howe, Texas, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the age of 84, in Van Alstyne, Texas with sister, daughter and grandchildren at her bedside. Ella was born November 24, 1936, in Ogden, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Cleo McCuller, She was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing and attending family gatherings. She was a secretary for Patty Ray Geophysical. She often traveled with the oil companies alongside her husband, Earnest. She attended Paris Junior College with numerous education awards from 1991 - 1993 for Nursing Home Training. She was certified as a nursing assistant healthcare worker, medical asepsis, death and dying, restraints and alternatives, range of motion and transferring, and special needs of the elderly with the aging process. Ella retired from Whitewright Nursing Home. Ella is survived by her children: Debra Hurley; Kay Drake; Sandra Hammond; grandchildren: Cris, Cody, Corey, Jessie, Lodainer "Deenee", Alysia, Leslie,Kevin, Thomas, Angela and Ashlee; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Tull; special friend, T.C. Burks; numerous nieces and nephews. Ella was preceded in death by both parents; husband; daughter, Marcella; son, Earnest Wortham, Jr.; siblings, Jova Nell Farrer, Virgil McCuller, Gertrude Swink, and James McCuller. The funeral service was held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Scoggins Funeral Home, Van Alstyne, Texas. Jodie McCuller officiated. Ella was placed alongside her husband with burial following the service at Vittitoe Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. - - - Fisher Funeral Home Earnest E.
