Yowell, 83, who died Thursday at a Sherman hospital were held Saturday in the First Baptist Church with burial in the Vittitoe Cemetery under the direction of Earnheart Funeral Home of Whitewright. Mr. Yowell has been a resident of Tom Bean all his life. He married Mary Elizabeth Hopper December 24, 1908 at Kentuckytown. He was a farmer and stockman. Survivors include his wife; six sons, Claude P., Robert E., Jr., Grady L., Nyal G., and James E., all of Tom Bean; and T.J. of Sherman; ond daughter, Mrs. Gladys Perkins of Sherman; one brother, D.A. Yowell; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Grandsons were pallbearers.
