  Malissa G. Stephens 1886 - 1981 Thomas M. Stephens 1879 - 1960  wed 11 December 1904 The Whitewright Sun Thursday, February 25, 1960 pg. 1 Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Tom Bean Baptist Church for Thomas Marion Stephens, 80, long time resident of Tom Bean, who died Saturday in a Sherman hospital. Burial was in Vittitoe Cemetery, under the direction of Earnheart Funeral Home. Mr. Stephens was born October 15, 1879, south of Whitewright at Bethel. He moved to Tom Bean at the age of 9 and had lived there ever since. He is survived by his wife; one son, Thomas Stephens of Garland; two daughters, Miss Neva Lee Stephens of Amarillo and Mrs. R.C. Childress of Longview; one brother, Wayne Stephens, of Whitewright; three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Williams of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mrs. Maude Freeman of Amarillo and Miss Myrtle Stephens of Tom Bean; and four grandchildren.
