The Whitewright Sun Friday, January 11, 1918 pg. 3 Walter Stapleton, son of Mr. and Mrs.T.W. Stapleton, died at their home east of Whitewright last Friday night. He was ill of pneumonia less than a week. The funeral service was conducted at the residence Saturday afternoon by Rev. W.J. Epting and Rev. I.E. Teague. The remains were laid to rest at the Vittotoe Cemetery. Mr. Stapleton was about twenty-six year old and had lived here for several years. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of this community.
