  Willie Stapleton 29 January 1879 - 23 January 1969 Luther Stapleton 4 October 1880 - 14 May 1952 Funeral
services were held at Southside Baptist church Thursday for Luther
Stapleton, 71, resident of Denison for 32 years, who died in a local
hospital Wednesday after a 5-day illness. Rev. Wm. Beal conducted
the service and interment was in Vittitoe cemetery near Whitewright,
with Bratcher-Moore, funeral directors, in charge. Stapleton lived at 1522 S. Fannin. He was a barber. He was born in Tennessee October 4, 1880, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tivis Stapleton. He was married in 1899 to Willie Blanks. He was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors are his widow; 5 sons, Richard and Ervin of Denison; Earnest of Apple Valley, California; J.B. of Downey, California; and Bennie of Dallas; 3 daughters, Mrs. Jessie Haskins and Mrs. Opal Lamb of Dallas; Mrs. Bonnie Lou Sumner of Apple Valley, California; 2 sisters, Mrs. Cernie Blanks of Amarillo and Mrs. Eliza Bridges of Lamesa, texas; 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
