Skaggs 25 May 1880 - 25 April 1941  Dennis Skaggs 9 August 1901 - 29 November 1915 s/o J.C. & Lucy Skaggs The Whitewright Sun Friday, December 3, 1915 pg. 7 A SAD DEATH Dennis, the fourteen-year-old son of Mrs. and Mrs. J.C. Skaggs, died Monday, after an illness of two weeks duration. It is indeed sad to see one so young called by the death angle, but it is a sweet consolation to his loved ones to know that his young life was free from the sins of this world, and that he has only been transferred from this old world to the home prepared by our Maker for the pure in heart. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.J. Epting and Rev. Obe Nelson at Vittitoe Cemetery Tuesday afternoon in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends of the family.
