The Whitewright Sun Thursday, May 22, 1952 pg.1 Rudolph Pannell, 40, former Whitewright barber, died at his home in Odessa Sunday. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Tom Bean Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Jimmy Burton, pastor. Burial was in Vittitoe Cemetery. He was the son of Mrs. J.A. Pannell of Tom Bean and formerly lived there. Survivors include his wife of Odessa; two sons, Joe Glenn Pannell of Dallas and Jackie Pannell of Whitewright; two daughters, Peggy Sue Pannell and Lynda Pannell of Whitewright; two brothers, Oliver Pannell of Denton and J.J. Pannell of San Antonio; and three sisters, Mrs. B.M. Dean of Tom Bean; Mrs. W.E. Maddox of Los Angeles, California; and Mrs. Carl Hartwig of Ft. Worth.
