Rev. John Hall will officiate and the burial will follow at the Vittitoe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Perry passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison. He was born on January 1, 1942, the son of Perry Alton Jr. and Elwanda (Maddox) Jones. He married Jody Andrew on May 4, 1979 in Sherman. Perry served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966. He worked at the Sherman Democrat as a press operator for 17 years, Gates Rubber Company for 16 years and then he was a long haul truck driver for Fed Ex for 3 years. He loved reading, fishing, his dog Toby and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Perry was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife Jody Jones of Sherman; daughter, Kristy Norris and husband Jeff of Royse City; son, James Jones of Sherman; two grandchildren, Taylor Norris and Loriann Norris both of Royse City; and one sister, Sharon Langford and husband Ronnie of Tom Bean. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Marla Horman and Shelby Gann, Marlon Langford and wife Hydee, Mark Langford, Craig Andrew and wife Jaclyn, Kelli Andrew and Kyle Andrew; great-nieces and nephews, Perry Horman, Harley Horman, Cindy Monday, Jacie Kate Andrew, Samantha Langford, Sara Langford, Sophia Langford, Owen Langford, Blake Langford, Kayla Langford, Justin Langford; and brother-in-law, Robert Andrew and wife Mahana of Olney. Perry was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, James Morgan Langford. Family night will be held on Friday, Feb. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
