  Joann Shaw Hopper 23 August 1932 - 17 December 2011 W.O. Hopper 20 July 1930 - 25 May 2009  wed 27 August 1949 Children: Vala, Robert, Vickie, Richard William Oliver Hopper, a 78 year old resident of Whitewright, died Monday, May 25, 2009 at his home. He was born July 20, 1930 in Whitewright, son of Ezelle Hopper and Elizabeth Rucker Hopper. He married Jo Ann Shaw August 27, 1949 in Sherman. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Hopper of Whitewright; two daughters, Vala Langford and husband Raymond of Howe; Vickie Castro and husband Esequiel of Tom Bean; two sons, Robert Hopper and wife Kathy of Tom Bean; Richard Hopper and wife Tina of Tom Bean; twelve grandchildren, Patrick Langford and wife Candy of Howe; Kimm Avila and wife Daina of Tom Bean; Robert Hopper, Jr. of Tom Bean; Angel Thompson and husband Phillip of Plano; Manuel Avila and wife Heather of Sherman; Elizabeth Hall and husband Bill of Tom Bean; Cassy Hopper, Brian Hopper, Toby Hopper and Sasha Hopper, all of Tom Bean; Dub Adcock of Southmayd; Preston Adcock of Preston; twelve great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Stroup and husband Paul of Blue Ridge. A graveside service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the Vittotoe Cemetery in Tom Bean under the direction of Flesher Funeral Home with Dwayne Peters officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-7 pm. Memorials are to be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County.
