Dallas Morning News May 31, 1924 WHITEWRIGHT PIONEER DIES (Special to the News) Whitewright, Grayson County, Texas, May 30 - Mrs. T.M. George, 76 years old, a pioneer resident of this section of Grayson County, died at the home of a relative at Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Thursday. She was the widow of T.M. George, who died February 24, 1917. There are no surviving children. The body was brought to Vittitoe Cemetery, near Kentuckytown, for burial Saturday. The Whitewright Sun Thursday, June 5, 1924 pg.1 Mrs. T.M. George, 70 years old, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wilson at Wynnewood, Oklahoma last Thursday. The body was brought to Denison by rail, thence by hearse to Vittitoe Cemetery near Kentuckytown, where the funeral and interment was held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Several Whitewright friends and neighbors of the deceased woman went to Denison and accompanied the remains to the cemetery. Rev. J.F. Fender conducted the funeral service. Mrs. George was a pioneer resident of the Kentuckytown community, in which community she resided on a farm with her husband until his death which occurred February 24, 1917. Soon thereafter she came to Whitewright and purchased a cottage on East Grand avenue, where she resided until a few weeks prior to her death. The decedent has no surviving children.
