The Denison Daily Herald Thursday, April 6, 1906 pg. 8 TOM BEAN J.C. Crumpler was a Sherman visitor Saturday. J.C. Crumpler of this place will leave Wednesday for Stamford, where he will reside in the future. Sherman Daily Democrat Friday, February 10, 1922 pg. 5 Mrs. J.C. Crumpler, formerly of Sherman but now living at Texarkana, was in Sherman Friday morning enroute to Waco, where she was called by the illness of her sister. It was learned from Mrs. Crumpler that her son-in-law, J.K. Chenault, who was reared in this city, was recently appointed road superintendent of Bowie county. This appointment came while Mr. Chenault was serving as a member of the board of County Commissioners of the County to which he was elected two years ago over a number of older opponents. Mr. Chenault's friends will be interested in hearing of these honors which have come to him. He formerly was employed by The Democrat as a carrier.
