James
Edward "Eddie" Griffin, of Tom Bean, Texas was born December 1, 1968 in
Sherman, Texas, son of James and Florene Griffin. He passed from this
world on May 22, 2022. Eddie married the love of his life and his high school sweetheart, Tabethia Blue, on September 20, 1988 and together they had 2 wonderful children, Dalton and Demi, whom he treasured and knew were his greatest accomplishments in life. Not a day would go by without Eddie reaching out to his family on the phone just to talk and check in on them. Several calls a day as a matter of fact. It was just one of the ways he would express his love for his precious family. Being a truck driver was another love of "Fast Eddie's." He was happiest behind the wheel, especially with his faithful sidekick and dog, Daisy, who was always eager to roll on down the road with him. Many time, it was jokingly questioned whether or not he loved the dog more than the kids. Of course, we all know it was the kids and that his love for Daisy spoke to the depth of love that Eddie always expressed with those who were so important to him, be it human or dog. If you knew Eddie Griffin, you know he never met a stranger. He was always ready with a huge smile on his face along with a handshake for the guys and a hug for the ladies. His thoughtfullness and joy for others made a lasting impression and resulted in many smiles and lots of laughter, often times leaving the person he was speaking with happier than when he found them. He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents, John and Johnnie Tramel of Tom Bean; Jimmie Griffin of Howe; and Wyatt Griffin of Van Alstyne. Eddie is survived by his beautiful wife of Tom Bean; precious children, Dalton & Erin Griffin of Bells and Demi Griffin of Tom Bean; mother, Florene Griffin of Tom Bean; brother, John and wife Becky of Tom Bean; nephew, Dylan Griffin and wife, Rachel of Whitewright; niece; Kinzie Miller and husband, Ryan, of Tom Bean; great-niece, Audrey Griffin of Whitewright; grandmother, Lela Griffin of Van Alstyne as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Service was held at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home chapel followed by graveside interment at Vittitoe Cemetery.
