WWI The Whitewright Sun Thursday, December 16, 1971 pg. 6 Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Virginia Point Methodist Church for Frank A. Proctor Sr., 76, who was found dead at his home in Bells at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Death was due to natural causes, according to Russell Summers, Justice of the Peace of Whitewright. Mr. Proctor had once worked as a supervisor in the oil fields near Big Lake, Texas. Rev. Lawrence Smith, pastor of the church, officiated with burial in the Virginia Point Cemetery. A Masonic service was held at graveside. Mullican-Little Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Proctor was born March 7, 1895 in the Virginia Point community, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Proctor. He served in the Army during World War I and was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Frank Proctor Jr. of Burleson, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Smith and Mrs. Wanda Nell Ruess, both of Cuero, Texas; one brother, C.R. Proctor of McCamey, Texas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
