Don Allen Colby

Don Allen Colby, age 74 of Richardson, TX passed away May 1, 2011 in Dallas. He was born on February 16, 1937 in Owasso, OK to Theodore W. and Mable (Fuchs) Colby. Don married Jane McClintock on January 31, 1959 in Abilene, TX. He was an electrical engineer for Rockwell International and a member of the Christian faith. Don is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane Colby; daughter, Karen Oxford and husband, Jim; brother, Ted Colby, Jr.; sisters, Betty Ruth Colby and Marilyn Willems; grandsons, Jason Oxford, Kevin Oxford and Ryan Oxford. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Van Alstyne Cemetery in Van Alstyne, TX with T.W. Colby, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, one hour prior to the service at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Faithbridge Presbyterian Church, 10930 College Parkway, Frisco, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
