MRS. REBECCA E. COTTON

Miss Rebecca E. Harris was born on June 18, 1844, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. T. J. Harris. At the age of about five years, she moved with her parents to Pilot Point, Texas, at which place she lived until her marriage on May 24, 1855 to John G. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Cotten were eight children, of whom six survive: T.A.Cotten, O.B.Cotten and Mrs. Lura Neill of Van Alstyne; M.B.Cotten of near Sherman; Dayton Cotten of Denison; Mrs. Katie Miler, Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Two children, Mrs. Mae Chambers and Mrs. Annie Rutherford, have preceded their mother into rest.
Early in life, Mrs. Cotton professed religion and united with the Baptist church, retaining her membership in that denomination and being a faithful adherent of that faith until her death.
On Sunday, May 2, 1926, while visiting at the home of her son, M.B.Cotten, near Sherman, Mrs. Cotten passed away after a short illness. Her . . .
