 Clarence McClain 2 November 1922 - 31 January 2008 Kathleen McClain 20 April 1923 - 3 March 2013  Funeral services for Clara Kathleen McClain, age 89, of Gunter, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Waldo Funeral Chape with Pastor Irby McKnight officiating. Burial will follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman. Kathleen passed away on March 3, 2013 in Gunter, Texas. She was born on April 20, 1923 in Uniontown, IN, the daughter of Freeman and Freda Francis Moore Spall. Kathleen married Clarence E. McClain on August 17, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2008. Kathleen is survived by her two daughters, Karen Taylor and husband Bill of Sherman, Texas and Brenda M. Navarre and husband Rick of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren, Amy Mathis and husband B.J. of Richardson, Texas; Aaron Cohron of Dallas, Texas; Michael Navarre and Andrew Navarre both of Plano, Texas; one great-grandchild, Brenna Mathis and one sister, Helen McClain of Crothersville, IN. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Rev. Delbert Spall. Pallbearers will be Tom Spall, Doug Garner, Garry McClain, Aaron Cohron, B.J. Mathis, M ichael Navarre, and Andrew Navarre. Family night will be held on Wednesday, March 6th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Home Hospice of Grayson County.
