Carter 22 June 1866 - 11 November 1917 Nellie Carter 3 November 1874 - 23 April 1924 Van Alstyne Leader April 24, 1924 Page 1 FUNERAL SERVICE Funeral services for Mrs. Carter, mother of Mrs. Sam York, who died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. York on Tuesday, were held from the Christian church yesterday afternoon with interment at the local cemetery. Rev. Leo Johnston conducted the service at the church and at the cemetery. Mrs. Carter was about 65 years of age, and was well known to many of our people by whom she was held in high esteem.
