Ricardo
Escamilla, III, 58, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family,
Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Medical City McKinney. He was born March
24, 1959 in San Juan, Texas, son of Ricardo Escamilla, Jr. and Maria
Alvarado Escamilla.
Ricardo was a full of life person and enjoyed spending time with his family and loved taking his children to fish. Ricardo worked at Encore Wire for 12 years until he fell ill. Ricardo will be missed by all who knew him. He leaved behind to cherish his memory: 4 daughters, Cindy Convento, Sandy Escamilla, Brenda Smith, and Amy Delgado; and one son, Ricardo Escamilla, III; mother, Maria Escamilla and 15 siblings: Maria Reyes, Margarita Torres, Ralph Escamilla, Joe Escamilla, Roy Escamilla, Tony Escamilla, Sally Torres, Hector Escamilla, Rebecca Escamilla, Rachel Rivera, Tommy Escamilla, Gilbert Escamilla, Rosie Mercer, Nelda Escamilla and Johnny Escamilla; and 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ricardo was preceded in death by his father; one sister, Victoria Escamilla; and one brother, Lupe Escamilla. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 28, 2017 at Scoggins Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Mark Fletcher officiating. Ricardo Escamilla, III; Ralph Escamilla, Jr.; Hector Escamilla, Jr.; Johnny Escamilla, Manuel Anaya, Jr.; Tommy Escamilla; Daniel Escamilla; and Moses Villaneuva served as pallbearers. Services were under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Alstyne, Texas.
