Glen Stafford Johnson left this world to meet her precious savior Jesus
Christ February 25, 2022 @ 4:06 am. She passed away quietly at Medical
City McKinney with her beloved husband and family at her side.
Donna was born to Bessie Mae Dillard Stafford and William Preston Stafford on June 5, 1953, just minutes after her twin sister, in Van Alstyne, Texas. She graduated from Van Alstyne High School and attended business school in McKinney, Texas. She lived a beautiful life with her husband, Murray, for 39 years, and her son, John Dale, was the light of her life. She enjoyed family time, especially holidays with her large family, and often hosted birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and after church get togethers. She was a devoted member of Peace Tabernacle in Blue Ridge, Texas. She enjoyed singing in church and was a soloist in various choirs for many years. Her beautiful alto voice was a blessing to many and will be greatly missed. Donna is preceded in death by her parents William and Bessie Stafford, her two brothers, William Randall Stafford and John David Stafford and her nephew Curtis Wayne Hale. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Murray Dean Johnson, Jr of McKinney, Texas and her son John Dale Hale of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters Jo Ann Hale of Anna, Texas, her twin Debra Lynn Burris, of McKinney, Texas and Nancy Jane and Thomas William True, of Greenville, North Carolina, and her brothers, George Kenneth and Virginia Stafford of Van Alstyne, Texas and James Keith and Elle Stafford of Byers, Colorado, and John Dale’s father, Lee Hale of Anna, Texas. She is survived by her loving nephews and nieces Jason Starnes, Shane Starnes and family, Rodney Hale and family, Garrett True and family, Desirae Stafford and family, Ashley Stafford and family, Jordan Stafford and Kaleb Stafford. She was loved by many great nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her surviving family by marriage Paul Johnson of Lewisville, Texas, Deborah and Wendell Conner of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and Nedra and Delbert HIghlen of Gunter Texas. Numerous nieces and nephews along with extended family and friends will lovingly remember her. Graveside service will be held February 28, 2022 in Van Alstyne Cemetery at 11:00 am with Pastor Kendall Hutchins officiating. Family visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Scoggins funeral home, 637 W. Van Alstyne, Texas 75495.
