DeVera Lavelle Tillett of Howe, Tx gained her angel wings on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the age of 55. She was born on February 7, 1966 in Hinsdale, Illinois. She graduated from Van Alstyne High School
in 1984. DeVera married the love of her life on December 30,1988. She was the best mom, wife and nana anyone could have ever asked for.

DeVera is survived by her husband, Philip Tillett; daughter, Kristi Amaro and husband, Andrew Amaro; son, Stephen Tillett and wife, Lauren Tillett; four grandchildren, Drew and Peyton Amaro, Harper and Easton Tillett; three sisters, Charmaine Tate and husband, Kenny Tate, Sia Wangler and husband, Roger Wangler, and Tammy Grisolia; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She loved all her family tremendously including those from Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee. DeVera never met a stranger.
DeVera was proceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Paulette Lynch.
Her hobbies included crafting, antiquing, gardening and traveling. She loved hunting for sea glass at their beach home in Crystal Beach, TX. DeVera had just come home from a trip of a lifetime to Hawaii. She loved her grandchildren and attending their sporting events more than anything. She definitely has kept Blue Bell in business.
DeVera was able to save several of lives through the Donate Life foundation.
The visitation will take place Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne, TX. Coach Simmons is officiating. Burial will be at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Pallbearers include Scott Rains, James Walsh, Rocky Ratcliff, Jacob Grisolia, Garrett Slawson and Jared Sutton.

Van Alstyne, TX, 75495.
