Earline Metze passed away Tuesday October 20th in Dallas, Texas after a
long and courageous journey as a heart transplant recipient. Earline
was born the youngest of 3 children on January 9, 1948 to Edna Earl and
Willie Florine Pace in Van Alstyne, TX. She lived an exciting life
traveling, shopping, spending time with her friends, family, and her
dog Jeter. She will be remembered as being strong, independent, fun,
and a wonderful friend.
Earline is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Florine; siblings Doyle Ray and Barbara Ann; as well as the love of her life, husband James Lee Metze. Earline is survived by her son Matthew Jason Rollins and wife Danielle of Bonham, TX; stepchildren Steve Metze and wife of Austin, TX; Sharla Davenport and husband of Prosper, TX. Earline was very proud of her grandchildren Brooke Greenley (Justin) of Rowlett, TX and Hunter Rollins of Bowie, TX and her great-grandson, Beau Matthew Rollins. Earline left a big footprint here on Earth and will be dearly missed by many. Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Van Alstyne Cemetery.
