May 8, 2020 Pastor Danny Lynn Lunsford, 58, of Frisco, Texas had a massive heart attack and went to meet his Maker. He was born January 24, 1962 in Valparaiso, Indiana, son of Eddie Lee and Eileen Schultz Lunsford. He married Angela Hope Pitts on October 22, 1983.
Reverend Dan was best described by his good friend, Rev. Ed Chesser; Dan was full of energy and had a heart of gold that would do anything for anybody. His motto of #GoBeABlessn, was truly something he lived by. God called Dan and Angie to the ministry and eventually blessed them with a miracle baby boy, Nathaniel Grant. Dan loved his son whom he called Nate the Great. He loved his church family, and all associated with it. He loved the city of Frisco. But most of all, he loved Jesus. Everywhere he went he made an impression. People loved him. He will be greatly missed. Yet this is why he lived the way he did. It is finished. His reward has come to fruition. Heaven is once again sweeter, and more desirous to make. Pastor Danny is survived by Mutterluv and Nate the Great; and his father, Pepaw. He is also survived by his siblings, Ricki (Alicia) Lunsford; Sherri (Ricky) Daniels; Jeffrey (Sandra) Lunsford, Renee Summar, and Edward (Michele) Lunsford; his sisters-in-law, Pastor Renee (JR) Thornhill and LaDonna (Arthur) Jones; and brothers-in-law, Jim (Loretta) Pitts and Rev. John (Ladeana) Pitts. Numerous nieces and nephews are missing Uncle Danny today. Each one will tell you they were his favorite as he made all of them feel so special. His family reached far great than what we can list here because he made everyone feel like family. Within minutes of meeting Danny, you were welcomed into his family and became life long friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Apostolic Temple of Frisco, Texas. Due to the Grayson County COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral is limited to a private service. In the spirit of #GoBeABlessin, the family would love to celebrate Pastor Dan's life by streaming the service live to all those who were touched and adopted into the family. The service will be Saturday, May 16 at 11:00 a.m. Weather permitted, gravesite internment will be held at Van Alstyne Cemetery, following the service and will be open to all. Services are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home, Van Alstyne. - - - Scoggins Funeral Home Van Alstyne Cemetery Susan Hawkins © 2024 If you find any of Grayson CountyTXGenWeb links inoperable, please send me a message. |
