Mrs.
D. A. Crowder died suddenly last Saturday night at the home of her
brother, John C. Tipton, on the Sherman road, after having been
confined to bed only a few hours. Mrs. Crowder was one of the oldest
residents of this community having passed her 72nd birthday. She had
been a sufferer of gastritis for about six weeks, but her condition had
not been regarded as being serious. She was up and about the house and
yard all of Saturday afternoon, and was taken seriously ill soon after
retiring, dying within a short while.
The funeral was held from the home of her brother on last Saturday, interment being at Van Alstyne cemetery. Mrs. Crowder was greatly esteemed by all who knew her, and the sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved relatives. She is survived by four brothers: John C. Tipton, Lee Tipton, Harve Tipton and George Tipton, and a number of other relatives. biographical information: Ancestry.com Van Alstyne Cemetery Susan Hawkins © 2024 If you find any of Grayson CountyTXGenWeb links inoperable, please send me a message. |
