Alstyne, Texas -- Frankie Griffith was born on May 13, 1958 and passed
away quietly in Plano, Texas at the hospital on January 10, 2018.
She is survived by her mom and dad Latane & Kenneth Mathias of Van Alstyne, TX, sons Kenneth Griffith and wife Melinda of Emory, TX, Rickey Griffith and wife Amanda of Van Alstyne, TX. 7 Grandchildren Collin, Katelynn, Kenneth, Shana, RonniAnn, Braylynn and Sawyer. Three sisters and one brother Lola McKinney and husband Hopper of Calera, OK, Mary Kemp and husband Billy Earl of Van Alstyne and Billy Moffett and wife Jojo of Howe, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Frankie was a very loving person who would do without so others would have. Her biggest joy in life were her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. All babies born into our family fell to sleep on her broad chest and would break into big smiles and laughs when she played with them, which was her favorite pass time. She would always say I would help with the dishes, but I’m holding the baby. She was a very loving Mother, Meme and Aunt Kankie, she will be missed dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne, Texas. Burial will follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy McKinney, Michael Bennett, Billy Moffett, Brian Gidney, Scott McKinney, Greg McKinney, Tommy McKinney and James Lewis. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 13 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Scoggins Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory 637 W.
