Van
Alstyne, Texas -- Tamsie Hunter Priefert McDonald passed away quietly
in McKinney, Texas on November 25, 2017. She was born on January
16, 1949 to Wallace (Jelly) Hunter and Marquita Chambers Hunter.
She is preceded in death by husband Ted McDonald. She is survived
by sister Debra Hunter Knipp (husband Jimmy Knipp) and sister Lisa
Hunter Howard (husband Steve Howard), many nieces and nephews and
loving cousins and uncles Glen Chambers (wife Nettie) and Robert Walsh.
Although Tamsie was born prematurely and has been blind since birth, she led a very active and independent life. Her independence was very important to her. She learned to play the piano and guitar at an early age and was proud to play for her church congregation. She worked in Dallas for Fox Photo, developing film and later in her husband's camera repair shop. She loved her music, skating and fishing. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at the Van Alstyne Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. Service are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory, 637 W. Van Alstyne, Pkwy.
