Van Alstyne Leader June 9,1983 BALDWIN Services for Lewis Baldwin, 79, of Anna were held June 2, in the First Baptist Church. He died June 1, in St. Paul Hospital in Dallas. Mr. Baldwin was born in Anna, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Baldwin, and married Willie Purdom on Jan. 26, 1924, in Van Alstyne. He was auditor and tax assessor and collector of Collin County for 20 years and a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; sons, Billy Howard Baldwin of Dallas, Wayne Baldwin of Houston and Gwayne Baldwin of Montgomery, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
