Van Alstyne, Texas -- Victoria Escamilla Hernandez, 80, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 in Dallas. She was born on December 24, 1935 in Raymondville, TX to Ricardo Escamilla and Trinidad Baeza. She was married to Abilino Hernandez on July 1, 1951 in Pharr, TX. She married John Frie in Maybank, TX in 1991. She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dallas, TX. Victoria worked as a furniture sales person most of her adult life. She is survived by her daughter, Myra Ray and son Oscar Hernandez, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren all of Dallas, brothers, Ramiro Escamilla of Denton, TX, Manuel Escamilla of Grand Prairie, TX, Francisco Escamilla of Houston, TX, sister, Carmen Adams of Dallas, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. Victoria was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one daughter, two brothers and six sisters. A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne, TX. Visitation will follow from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Van Alsytne, Texas with Father Dominique Colangelo officiating.
