Van Alstyne, Texas -- Johnny Ray Grimmett, 57, was born to Harold D. Grimmett and Nettie R. Osborn,
in Dallas, Texas, August 19, 1958. Johnny departed this life March, 31, 2016 at Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center in Sherman, Texas.

Johnny is survived by Shaun Dale Collins, Dallas, Texas; Melissa Collins, Dallas, Texas; Jack Lee Dyer, Anna, Texas; and Virginia Knotts, Anna, Texas.

Johnny is preceded in death by his father, Harold DoLano Grimmett; mother, Nettie Ruth Osborn Grimmett; brother, Michael Grimmett; and sister, Belinda Grimmett Dyer.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 8, 2016 at Scoggins Funeral Home, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel, with pastor Chris Caldwell officiating.
