Frankie Lou Turman Benton was born November 15, 1928 in Wirt, Oklahoma. She passed away June 10, 2020. She was preceded in death Don and Gay Turman, husband Billie Earl Benton and a son, Stephen Marshall Benton.
Frankie was a switch board operator for the phone company in Oklahoma City after World War II. She later worked for Anna I.S.D., Fisher Controls in McKinney, Collin Memorial Hospital and ended her career at Rockwell International in Richardson, Texas.
Frankie and Bill lived in Anna for 13 years and moved to Van Alstyne, Texas where she lived up until her death.
After retirement Frankie and Bill Spent many years traveling across the country in in their R.V.
Frankie was of the Baptist faith and attended Camron Baptist Church.
Frankie is survived by her daughter Lori Hartsfield and husband Mack, Daughter Lana Benton Woodburn, son Mark Benton and wife Marsha, and a daughter in law Patti Benton. 9 grandchildren, Stevie, Matt, Billie, Loren, Michael, Jamie, Chay, Sean, and Jill, 13 great grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, June 27 at 11:00 am at the Van Alstyne Cemetery.
