Van Alstyne, Texas --  On this day March 10, 2016, Patsy Jay, 80, went to be with the Lord. Mrs. Jay was born on July 22, 1935 to Homer and Mary Jenkins of Cannon, Texas. Mrs. Jay was a graduate of Van Alstyne High School where she met her high school sweetheart who became her husband Rayburn Jay on June 13, 1953.

Mrs. Jay was preceded in death by her husband Rayburn Jay of Van Alstyne, TX, her son Jackie Jay also of Van Alstyne, TX, sister Pansy Lay of Van Alstyne, TX. 

She is survived by her brother Raye Jenkins, of Van Alstyne, Texas, daughter Janet Fuller of Van Alstyne, son Jimmy Jay also of Van Alstyne, son Jeffrey Jay and wife Teresa both of Bonham, Texas, and an adopted daughter Traci Perez of Van Alstyne. Mrs. Jay has 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Scoggins Funeral Home, 637 W. Van Alstyne, Pkwy. in Van Alstyne, TX; 75495
