Bob Dubberly, 83, passed away June 17, 2015, in McKinney, Texas. A funeral service will be held at
10 a.m., Friday, June 19, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with Jim Jake Templin officiating. Bob will be buried in Van Alstyne Cemetery next to his father- and mother-in-law, Henry Earnest and Johnnie (Bill) Barton.

He was born in Prosper, Texas, to the late Nathaniel L. Dubberly, Sr. and Lona Wilson Dubberly. After graduating high school and proudly serving in the United States Navy, Bob completed his education at the Arlington State College, now known as the University of Texas in Arlington. He was the accountant for Rosewood Company of Dallas for 26 years, where he retired in 1988. Bob ran marathons, was a season ticket holder for the Dallas Cowboys, and loved to fish. In his later years, he exercised his wonderful mind with reading and crossword puzzles. He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. N.L. Dubberly, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Martha Barton Dubberly; sister, Dorothy Hester and husband, Dwain, of Georgetown, Texas; brother-in-law, Andy Barton and wife, Patricia, of Van Alstyne, Texas; nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Boomer. D19
