Derryl R. Overby, 91, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Abilene, Texas.

He lived in San Angelo, Robert Lee and Odessa.

Viewing will be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017 in the Van Alstyne Cemetery in Van Alstyne, Texas directed by The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances, and a grandson, Kiley Collins.

Derryl is survived by his daughters, Karen Sue Overby and Sheryl Kimbrough and husband Ron, all of Abilene.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in Derryl's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
