In the afternoon of October 29, 1982 the angel of silence came into the home of SIS. BETTY BOYD and with chilly fingers sealed the lips of my loving mother. Her soul winged its flight from this world of sin, sorrow and pain, to a place of eternal rest.
Sister Boyd was born May 20, 1889 to the late Priums and Angeline Tucker in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age. Joined the Morning Chapel C.M.E. Church, Van Alstyne,
Texas and was a faithful member for many years.
She was united in marriage to James Boyd and to that union one child was born.
She leaves to mourn: a faithful daughter, Mrs. Eunice Starghill of Houston, Texas; one son-in-law,
Caery Starghill of Houston, one sister, Mrs. Vertia Mae Morris of Houston, Texas; two granddaughters
and two great granddaughters, one great grandson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
