Umphress
Services for Mrs. Eulah Mae Umphress, 70, were held Tuesday in Flesher Funeral Home with burial in Van Alstyne Cemetery.  She died Sunday at Hilltop Haven Nursing Home in Gunter.
Mrs. Umphress was born in Celina, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lewis, and was a member and former Sunday school teacher of Elmont Baptist Church.  She married Luther Umphress on Oct. 14, 1933, in Celina.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. George Vaughan of Gunter; sons, L.C. Umphress of Van Alstyne,
Donald Umphress of McKinney and Jerry Umphress of Richardson; sisters,Mrs. Maud Payne and Mrs. Renie Wilson of Celina; Mrs. Ruby Cantrell and Mrs. Inez Byrd of Fort Worth and Mrs. Virginia McMahan
of Dallas; brother, Melvin Lewis of Burleson; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
