MRS. FLORENCE VEAZY

Van Alstyne - Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Barry Veazey, 89, who died Thursday afternoon in a Houston nursing home, were held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Flesher Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Veazey was born Aug. 24, 1877, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.A. Barry.  She was married in Van Alstyne to Dr. William Veazey and was a member of the Methodist Church.  Dr. Veazey died in 1944.
Survivors include one son, Dr. William B. Veazey of Huntsville; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Stewart of Houstone; two brothers, Robert Lee Barry of Washington and Clinto Barry of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Garfield Crawford of Arlington and Mrs. Margaret Mathews of Fort Worth; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Pete Roberson officiated and burial was in the Van Alstyne cemetery.
