Alstyne - Services for Mrs. Doris Jean York of Dallas, 50-year-old
housewife who died Saturday at Parkland Hospital, will be held at 11
a.m. Wednesday at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Van
Alstyne Cemetery.
Mrs. York was born in Shreveport, La, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Elmer Riley, and married Harold York on March 8 1953, in Reno, Nev. She was a Baptist. Surviving are her husband; daughters, Ava Melvina Hammett of Irving, Ruby Jean York of Dallas, Mary Ann Petty of Wills Point, and Joyce Sue York of Dallas; son, Robert Arthur York of Irving; sisters, Donna Ruth Vaughn of McKinleyville, Calif., Dora Marie Clark of Dallas, Dorothy Nell Patterson of Reno and Della Mae Price of Bonham; brothers, Orville Riley of McKinleyville, Billy Don Riley of Crane, David Wesley Riley of Brownsboro and John Wesley Riley of Dallas; and 11 grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Sherman Democrat
