Services for Helen Marie Hynds, 87, of Van Alstyne were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church in Van Alstyne with burial in Van Alstyne Cemetery.  She died Monday in Medical Plaza Hospital.
The Rev. B. C. Robertson officiated.
Mrs. Hynds was born in Texas, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Umphress, and married Henry Hynds on April 12, 1921, in Van Alstyne.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Van Alstyne.
Surviving are her daughter, Jane H. Robertson of Dallas; sons, John Kenneth Hynds and Robert Hynds of Van Alstyne; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
The family suggests that those who wish may make memorials to the First Christian Church of Van Alstyne, the Wesley Rankin Community Center in Dallas or Home Hospice.
