Billy Ray Halliburton, a 50 year old resident of Van Alstyne departed this life Saturday, August 15, 2009
at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman. 
He was born March 10, 1959 in Fort Hood, son of Barbara and Ernest Halliburton.  He married Cristi Power in 1989 in Van Alstyne.  He was employed by Bodin Concrete for the past 16 years.  He was loved and respected by his co-workers and members of the community.  His passion was helping others and he
will be missed by all that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Hallibruton.  He is survived by his wife, Cristi Power of Van Alstyne; one daughter, Jordan Halliburton of Enid, Oklahoma; one son, Billy Halliburton, Jr. of Van Alstyne; two step-daughters, Crystal Power of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Bobbi Baker of Enid, Oklahoma; his mother, Barbara Steinert and husband Loren of Van Alstyne; father-in-law, James Yell of Enid, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Betty Kroll of Breckenridge, Oklahoma; two brothers, Travis Halliburton of Van Alstyne; and Wayne Halliburton of Anna.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Flesher Funeral Home in Van Alstyne with Bro. Gary Gibb officiating.  The family will receive visitors Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
