Mrs. Judie E. Bennett


Mrs. Judie E. Bennett, 74 years of age, a pioneer settler of Grayson County, passed away at her home at No. 1432 North Woods street in Sherman at 6 o'clock Tuesday morning following a long period of ill health.  Mrs. Bennett had been living in Sherman for about five months, but prior to coming here had made her home in Tioga for many years.  Her husband is dead.
A son, C.L. Simpson, a well known business man of Whitesboro, and a daughter, Mrs. Ben Graves, with whom she made her home, as well as a brother Clay Dooley of Chilicothe, survive her.
The remains were brought to Van Alstyne for burial yesterday, the funeral party coming in autos.  Rev. J.F. Pierce, pastor of the Travis Street Methodist Church at Sherman, conducting the funeral services.
