Page 19 May 19, 1977 VAN ALSTYNE - Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Myrtle E. Achimon, 65, of Milburn, Okla., a Collin County native. She died Tuesday at a Durant, Okla. hospital. Services were held Wednesday at the Tishomingo Okla., Church of Christ, conducted by Dave Estep. Burial was at Van Alstyne Cemetery. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Walker and married Mansil Achimon on Jan. 25, 1923, in Durant. She was a member of the church of Christ. Surviving is her husband; brothers, Marvin Walker and Melvin Walker, both of Dallas; sister, Mrs. Mae Boyer and Mrs. Marie Bhane, both of Dallas, Mrs. Minnie Umphress of Gunter, Mrs. Mildred Achimon of Van Alstyne, Mrs. Meba Goforth of Mesquite and Mrs. Monnie Morris of Big Spring. Jones Hospital, were held Monday at Flesher Funeral Home Chapel. Douglas Bickenbach officiated and burial was in Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mr. Achimon was born in Anna, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Achimon and married Myrtle Walker on Jan. 25, 1933. Surviving are his sisters, Mrs. Coara Phelps and Mrs. Opal Whitfield, both of Van Alstyne, Mrs. Fay Henson of Whitesboro, Mrs. Gaynell McWilliams of Borger and Mrs. Wilma Owens of Gainesville; brothers, Mannin Achimon of Cartwright, Okla., Cecil Achimon of Van Alstyne, Rayford Achimon of Waxahachie, Ray D.
