Alstyne - Services for Howard W. Yoder, 66, how died Friday at a
Sherman Hospital, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Flesher Funeral
Home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Ron Page and the Rev. J. A. Moody.
Burial will be at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Born in Texas, Mr. Yoder was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Yoder. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Van Alstyne Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mozelle Yoder; daughter, Mrs. Mary Jo Simpson of Frankfurt, Germany; brother, Carter Yoder of Van Alstyne; and one grandchild. Pallbearers are Byron Whitaker, C. L. Simco, A. A. Edwards, Robert Veazey, Robert Hynds and L. D. Spence. The family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Flesher Funeral Chapel with Dr. Edward Kolbe officiating. Interment will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Mozelle Yoder was born April 17, 1912 in the Jameson Community, Grayson County, Texas to Stone and Gertrude Ayers Marshall. She attended Van Alstyne schools and married Howard Yoder on September 18, 1948 in McKinney. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Van Alstyne and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She is survived by stepdaughter (sic daughter) Mary Jo Simpson and husband, Kenneth, of Reno, Nevada; grandson, Michael Simpson; great grandson Maxwell Simpson both of Bethesda, Maryland; niece Marsha Faye Bain; Jimmy Stone Marshall; great nieces, Tonia Bain, Jamie Sue Gatzki, Jessica Marshall; great nephew, Marshall Bain and three great-great-nieces. Pallbearers are Benny Edwards, Bob Thornton, C. L. Simco, Keith Simco, Ray Botsford and Howard Moore. Special music by Kevin Inman, son of Jimmie and Marta Marshall.
