HOWE - Funeral services for William Henry Willingham of
Howe will be held at Howe Church of Christ at 2 p.m. Saturday, March
25, 2006 with Mike Wyatt, Toby Soechting and Perry Cotham officiating
followed by burial at Van Alstyne Cemetery. Flesher Funeral Home in Van
Alstyne
has charge of arrangements.
Henry was born September 2, 1919 at home in a rural community which was approximately five miles west
of Ravenna. He went to be with the Lord on March 22,
2006 at 86 years of age. He married Vera Evelyn Terry
on August 9, 1947 in Sherman, Texas. He battened school
in Tom Bean where he lived for a number of years. He
worked for Chance Vaught Aircraft (also known as
LTV) in Grand Prairie retiring in 1979. He was a devoted
member of Howe Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Vera, of Howe; son Terry
Willingham and wife, Ann, of North Richland Hills;
daughter, Vickie Smith and husband, Russell of
Luella; grandchildren, Alicia Levitz and Jody Willingham,
both of Grand Prairie, Justin Ward and wife, Andrea
of Austin, Ross Ward of Luella and Reece Willingham
of North Richland Hills; step-grandchildren, Marcus
Huffer of San Antonio, Joey Huffer of Grand Prairie,
Casey Collum and Jennifer Smith, both of Sherman.
He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Matthew
Kotapish of Willow Park, Jacob and Joshua Levitz
of Grand Prairie, Landon Collum of Sherman and
one great-grandchild on the way; sister, Francis
Morris of Mansfield; sisters-in-law, Ruby Ford of
Sherman, Ola Springfield and husband, James,
of Garland, Joyce Edwards and husband, Bobby,
of Grand Prairie and several cousins, nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and
father; sisters, Treca Bush, Dorothy Winkle, Louise
Renfro and Viola Butler; brothers, L. C. and J. B.
Willingham; nephew, Nathan "Bodiddle" Willingham,
brothers-in-law, A. B. Terry, Wallace Terry, Henry
Ford and Jesse Lois Terry.
Pallbearers will be Danny Watson, Jeff Enoch, Doug
Gaston, Mark Bickenbach, Wayne Carter, Mike
Stringfellow, Max Robertson and Darrin Savage.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alicia Levitz, Jody
Willingham, Chance Harmon, Justin Ward, Ross
Ward and Reece Willingham.
Family visitation will be at Flesher Funeral Home in
Van Alstyne from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday night.

Howe, Texas -- Vera Evelyn (Terry) Willingham of Howe, Texas went to
her heavenly home on November 3,
2014 at age 88. Vera, affectionately
known by extended family and loved ones as Aunt Bea, was born on July
30, 1926 in Collin County, Texas to Jessie James &
Bertha Mae
(Harmon) Terry. She grew up in Van Alstyne and graduated from Van
Alstyne High School in 1945.
Vera married William Henry Willingham on August 9, 1947. Vera and Henry
lived in Grand Prairie, Texas where he worked for LTV Aircraft and she
was
a stay-at-home mom for many years but later worked
in the dry
cleaning industry.
After retirement in 1981, Vera and Henry moved to
Howe, Texas, where
she had continually resided and
was a faithful member of the Howe
Church of Christ.
Most of all she was a loving, gracious, wonderful
Mom,
Ma maw and Aunt Bea who will be missed by all.
Vera (Aunt Bea) is preceded in death by her father
and mother Jessie
and Bertha Terry, husband William
Henry Willingham, and three brothers,
Wallace, AB
and Jessie Terry. She is survived by sisters Ruby
Ford of
Sherman, Texas, Ola Springfield of Garland,
Texas and Joyce Edwards and
husband Bobby of
Grand Prairie, Texas; sisters-in-law Charlotte Terry
of Irving, Texas and Betty Terry of Whitewright,
Texas; son Terry Lee
Willingham and wife Ann of North Richland Hills, Texas; daughter Vickie
Secor and husband Paul of Garland, Texas; grandchildren
Alicia Levitz,
Jody Willingham, Justin Ward, Ross Ward and Reece Willingham;
great-grandchildren Matthew Kotapish, Jake Levitz, Josh Levitz, Brianna
Ward and John Henry Ward.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November
6, 2014 at the
Howe Church of Christ with burial to be
in the Van Alstyne Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday
at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne.
