MRS. ELSIE WALKER, 61, DIES IN NURSING HOME
Van Alstyne - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church here for Mrs. Elsie Gretchen Walker, 61, of Van Alstyne, who died in a Sherman nursing home Wednesday.
Rev. James Coffey, pastor of the church and Rev. Mac Pope of Plano, Baptist minister, will conduct the services.  Burial will be in Van Alstyne Cemetery, directed by Flesher Funeral Home.
Mrs. Walker was born May 29, 1904 in Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.Z. Welch.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are three sons, Dewey Walker of Richardson, Bobby Walker of Nocona and Gene Walker of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Mrs. Jim Null and Mrs. Jim Mooneyham, both of Van Alstyne, Mrs. Lee Starnes of McKinney and two brothers, Allen Welch of Dallas and Hubert Welch of Shreveport, La.
